Description

Mid-later 18th century. Cylindrical harled rubble dovecot
with doorway at E. 2 local slate rat courses encircle
building; random square flight holes above upper course;
conical local slate roof; apex weathervane.
INTERIOR: small number wooden nesting boxes supported on
ledge around upper portion of cote only.

Statement of Interest

Small number of nesting boxes indicate 19th century (or

later) use. Originally the inner walls would have been lined

with boxes from ground floor up.
