Description

Burn and Bryce 1843-44. Asymmetrical, single sotrey gate lodge. Ashlar, with chamfered reveals. Modern harled addition to east. West elevation: door in off-centre gabled porch, advanced left bay canted, curved to square at eaves. Window to south gable and to projecting gabled bay of north elevation. Projecting eaves, simple barge boards with pendants

in gable heads above plaques; 2 stacks with twisted flues; variety of roof levels (all slated). 2 decorative wrought-iron gates (circa 1940) to drive and obelisk piers; circular outer piers with projecting flat

conical caps linked by low ashlar coping with chain supported on iron posts.
