Description

1872, A Marshall Mackenzie. Baronial 3-storey gatehouse with round-arched carriage entrance under 2-storey oriel, all

contained in crowstepped gabled front. Tooled rubble with

polished ashlar dressings. Flanking doorways corniced with

scrolled pediments with cartouches at centre; at left,

circular conical-roofed stairtower in re-entrant with

recessed 2-storey, 1-bay wing with steeply pedimented

dormerhead at first floor and crowstepped gable. Corniced

stacks; slate roofs.
