Circa 1805, open square; court covered about 1900. Rubble,
ashlar margins. Single storey, 13 bay south elevation,
centre pedimented bay with occuli and blocked round arched
entrance. Slightly advanced piended end bays with round
arched carriage entrances; intervening bays accommodate
former stables and dwelling. Covered octagonal house engine
house at NE corner; pigeon loft in west elevation, flight
holes in gabled dormer. Depressed arched cornloft vents
to north and west elevations; piended slate roof. Various new
entrances slapped in west elevation. Large walled garden
of circa 1825.
Dining room has very fine painted wallpaper.
Only known horse engine house in Nairnshire.
