Description

Lodge; dated 1867. Picturesque T-plan single storey gate
lodge with projecting wing in centre of south elevation;
gabled entrance in south face and window in east face of
re-entrant angle. 16-pane sashes in gables with crests above;
centre ridge flue battery; decorative barge-boards and apex
finials; steeply pitched slate roofs; ornate cast-iron ridge
cresting. Gate piers, gates and railings; square chamfered
rusticated ashlar gate piers with moulded copes and shallow
pyramidal caps; similar end piers. Flanked by secondary
carriage entrances with decorative cast-iron piers; double
gates to centre entrances, single to secondary entrances,
linked by matching spearhead railings on low coped wall.
