Description

1814; porch added (style of William Robertson) 1833; repairs,
additions and garden wall, William Robertson of Elgin, 1838;
further additions, 1853. 2-storey and attic, 3 bays with
extensive additions to rear. Pinned rubble, ashlar dressings,
harled flanks with contrasting painted margins. Centre
projecting pedimented porch with angle pilasters, centre window
and side entrance. Flanking ground floor bipartites; 3 flat
headed dormers; single windows in ground and 1st floor, east
and west gables.
Large addition to rear forming double pile, with piended
roof and later rectangular bay window in ground floor of
east gable. Mainly 12-pane glazing margined end and wallhead
stacks; slate roofs.

Statement of Interest

Ground floor windows said to have been enlarged in 1917.
