shepherd's cottage. All rubble with contrasting tooled ashlar
dressings. Centre door with flanking windows under continuous
projecting roof supported by flanking cheeks forming
protective verandah. 3 gabled dormers; 4-pane glazing.
Further shelter verandah formed across north gable under
overhang of piended slate roof, incorporating small store
under catslide roof projecting at NW and opening off recessed
shelter. Former byre extends from south gable with off-centre
door in south elevation and enlarged double doors filling
gable end.
Coped end stacks; slate roofs.

Statement of Interest

Unusual plan affording shelter for shepherd and some stock on

exposed site. Byre appears to have been heightened at later

date.
