Early 19th century with later 19th century alterations and
additions. 3-storey, 3-bay house with symmetrical north facing
front and with single storey, wide single bay wings at both
east and west gables.
All white harled.
Centre door masked by later 19th century projecting gabled
porch with side entrance, and flanked by small ground floor
windows. 2nd floor windows rise through wallhead into 3
gabletted dormers (probably later 19th century raising of
house).
Flanking single bay wings have off-centre window each and
also single wallhead gabled dormer.
Mainly 4-pane glazing; end stacks; slate roofs.
Rear (south) modern box dormer to east wing and modern
glazing in 3-bay ground floor.
Interior; simple ceiling moulding to low ground floor room at
west.
Laudale mainly Argyll property in 18th century; purchased by
Dugald MacLachlan of Laudale in 1825; changed hands in 1851
and purchased by Newtons of Glencripesdale in 1871.
