Mid 19th century. Single storey and attic, rectangular-plan, former railway station house. Rubble built, stugged and smooth-margined dressings, slate roof, ashlar stack to W, stack rebuilt in brick to E. Mainly 4-pane and plate glass sash and case windows; deep bracketted eaves.
N ELEVATION: door flanked by windows to left, blocked door to right, window to far right; cross window to wallhead gable at centre.
S ELEVATION: 3 windows to ground floor, window to wallhead gable at attic.
E AND W GABLES: window to attic.
INTERIOR: not seen.
The Dundee and Perth Railway was built in 1847. The former station house adjoins the railway and the level crossing; there is also a signal box nearby. The station itself has been demolished.
