Dated 1840. 2-storey with 1st floor breaking eaves, rectangular-plan, 3-bay farmhouse with small steading attached. Stugged coursers with droved ashlar dressings to front, rubble to sides, slate roof. 4-pane sash and case windows (modern 4-pane tilt windows to 1st floor); canopied lintels to door and ground floor windows; deep bracketted eaves; coped end stacks.
S ELEVATION: door to porch at centre with stone slab gabled roof, date panel; window to left and right at ground and 1st floor; single storey bay recessed to right adjoining steading.
W GABLE: lean-to privy to left.
N ELEVATION: lean-to at ground floor with swept roof.
INTERIOR: no seen.
STEADING: small altered L-plan steading attached to E; 2 depressed-arch cart-arches and granary openings remaining; single storey regtangular-plan stable.
The panel above the front door reads 'sir WKM 1840', referring to Sir William Murray, owner of the Fowlis estate. See also NOTES to Fowlis Castle.
