Listed for historic interest. The Dundee to Perth Toll Road opened in 1790 when the original Invergowrie Toll Bar was situated at the gates of Mylnefield House (perhaps now incorporated in the present Mylnefield Lodge); it was removed to the present site at the behest of Thomas Mylne of Mylnefield, a Turnpike Trustee.
