Description

Farmhouse, second half of 18th century with mid 19th
century U-plan steading. All rubble-built. Farmhouse:
2 storeys and dormerless attic, 3 wide bays with
lower 2-bay, 2 storey wing to west with door on south
front at 1st floor level, reached by steps and single
storey byre? (now ruinous) to east. North elevation:
off-centre door with additional door to left 1
window to right. 2 windows in 1st floor all 18-pane
glazing, small stair light. South elevation: projecting
lean-to porch, 1 window to left. 1 window in each
crowstepped gable end. Gable head stacks. Slate roof.
Steading: 2 long, parallel ranges with crow wing to
south; and low building at north. Long ranges single
storey with lofts, western range with 5 elliptical
headed cart bays. Slate roofs except east range now
with corrugated iron.
