18th century. Georgian 3 storeys. Harled. Double-
gabled. Slate roof. Skews. Eaves blocking course. Band-
courses. Two 2-storey dressed bay windows. Dressed
porch; pilasters. 1-storey cottage at W. end.
OUTBUILDINGS: Rubble. Piended Shed and gabled Byre at W.
end. Gabled Shed and hexagonal shed with piended roof at
rear.

Statement of Interest

Factor's house. Birthplace of Dr. John Crawford, who

took part in Lord Minto's expedition to Java 1811 and

wrote 'History of the Indian Archipelago'. 1820.
