Description

1886. Gothic Revival. Oblong plan; aisle on N. side;
crown steeple at N.E. corner. Rubble in courses; slate
roofs. Buttresses; rounded-headed Lancets. Tower in
4 stages; crenellated parapet; corner pinnacles from
which rises the crown. Clock by Gilbert & Co. London;
bell by Munro Thomson & Co. Glasgow; both dated 1886.
Moulded round-headed doorway approached by steps.
Interior: open timber ceiling; gallery at E. end;
arcade on N. side. Church hall adjacent at W. with
timber ceiling of same type.

Statement of Interest

Ecclesiastical, in use as such. On site of Mission

Chapel (erected 1775, re-built 1841) which became parish

church of Tarbert 1871.
