Description

1750/70 (dated by estate maps). W. bows, porch and
partial redecoration of ground floor Alexander Laing
c. 1804; billiard room wing added c. 1904. 3-storey and
basement, harled with margins, moulded eaves cornice,
piend roof platformed. W. entrance front 5-window,
centre bay advanced and pedimented, tripartite centre
1st; segmental R-doric column porch with good fanlight
and steps with c.i. rail flanked by 3-window bows at
ground floor. E. front has centre chimney gable and
centre 3-window bow 1st and 2nd, 2-window either side.
Small additions in angles. Interior: fine hall
staircase, original woodwork throughout: main ground
floor rooms remodelled by Laing in simple classic, some
chimney-pieces upstairs replaced at same date.
