Description

John and William Smith 1844 incorporating older manse. 2-storey with dormerheads, harled and whitewashed with margins. Front advanced gable to left with shallow 3-light rectangular bay, 2 light window above, attic slit; porch in re-entrant angle; splayed angles and 4 centre arched doorpiece, ashlar parpet, 2 light window with gablet dormerhead above; 3 light window on right, matching 2-light dormer above. Flank 2-window with similar dormerheads, blind 1-window gable, stepped L-plan rear with piended stairhall in angle. Front chimneys diagonal shafts corbelled to square at top, slated roofs. Coped skews with ball and

spike finials. Front and flank elevations have small-paned mullion and transom crosses, rear windows small paned sashes. Detached rubble built and slated steading of same date.
