Description

Style of Walter Newall. Circa 1840. Single storey former gate
lodge. Cruciform-plan (modern addition to north). Red ashlar.
Windows with round-headed lights set in panels; canted window
below crest in south gable, door in re-entrant angle to right
behind modern porch: bipartite to east and to west gables.
Ornately carved bargeboards with finials; corniced central
stack: fish-scale slated roof. Curved, long quadrant walls,
also red ashlar, square piers with projecting caps.
