Late 18th century. Single storey L-plan group of cottages. Painted rubble.
MILLERS COTTAGE: L-plan. 3-bays to road with door flanked by windows; advanced wing to outer right with window in gable end and on return. NEWTON COTTAGE: with painted margins and piend-roofed extension to outer left. Door at centre with light, timber canopy porch, flanked by windows. Bipartite on return elevation of extension.
Plate glass glazing in sash and case windows. Grey slates. end, ridge and mutual gable stacks.
The 2 cottages (originally 3?) form an interesting group, iportant to the small hamlet for their largely unaltered condition. A garden wall with pedestrian gateway extends to right of Millers cottage. Holly cottage was formerly called Newton Cottage.
