Later 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage. Painted render. Painted dressings: architraved margins, with bracketted cills; quoin strips; dentilled eaves course.
E ELEVATION: door at centre, with letter-box fanlight. Window in outer bays. Flat-roofed dormer windows above outer bays.
N ELEVATION: blank.
Lower gabled addition to rear.
4-pane glazing in sash and case windows; small-pane glazing to dormer windows. Red sandstone coped skews. Gablehead stacks. Purple slates.
BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: low painted boundary wall, terminated by small pyramidal-capped square piers, enclosing small garden to E. Wall surmounted by decorative iron railings.
The cottage is not marked on the OS Map of 1847, but it is marked as "Broom Hill Cottage" on the OS Map of 1892-3. It lies to south of Corsewall Mill.
