Early 19th century. Picturesque single storey U-plan house,
originally cottages with outbuildings in wings. Whitewashed
rubble with painted ashlar margins; unusual rubble blocking
to openings, these mostly square-headed and set in
roung-headed margins. Some minor alterations. Long W
elevation: 3 wide bays, oculi in wall-head pediments over
openings; central door with flanking windows, bipartites in
outer bays. Oculus in each W-facing gable, off-centre
W-facing door in depressed-arched margins with bracketted
modern hood; lean-to in N re-entrant angle. Corniced axial
stacks; slate roof with red ridging tiles.
