Possibly by Alexander Stevens, part of a modified scheme for the layout of St Ann's village. Late 18th century. Single storey piend-roofed cottage with 3 wide bays and central door. Rubble-built with ashlar dressings, all whitewashed: sash windows with 4-pane glazing pattern: central axial stack: slate roof.
Plans in the Scottish Record Office (see references) show a proposed village by Stevens at St Ann's circa 1780, much larger than was executed.
(Statutory address and map reference updated 2011. Formerly listed as ST ANN'S VILLAGE, COTTAGE, FORMERLY MR ROSS, TENANT)
