G Ramsay Thomson of Dumfries, architect. Inscribed "Rebuilt
1910" on rainwater head. 2 storey and attic asymmetrical
Scottish arts and crafts style house. Harled walling with
granite cills. Entrance elevation (E) with advanced gabled
bay to left with round tower to S angle. Gabled bay to right
with advanced 2-storey round tower to centre with architraved
doorpiece. Simple timber door with good arts and crafts door
furniture. Corbel/string course over ground stepped up around
heraldic panel over door.
S ELEVATION: L-plan with wide advanced gabled bay to left,
3-storey round tower in re-entrant angle with architraved
door to ground. 5-bay range to right with crowstepped gablet
over centre.
All windows sash and case with 12-pane glazing. All gables
crowstepped with skewputts, band of roll-moulding at eaves.
Slate roofs, corniced axial and wallhead stacks.
