Description

Obelisk of rock-faced courses with ball finial on tall
inscribed base. Erected to commemorate Colonel
Alexander Shand of Templeland (+1803) who entered the
R.A. as a private, fought at Corbach and Brandy-wine
River and rose to be a full colonel.
