Description

Early 19th century. Large 2-storey and attic house, 3 bays
with centre door. Flanking single storey, single bay wings
returning to rear to form back courtyard. Coursed rubble,
granite dressings, some modern harling and fenestration to W
elevation of W wing. Large windows in main (S) front with
24-pane glazing; similar 1st floor window in E gable. 12-pane
glazing to front windows in flanking wings. Fanlight to
centre door; 2 piended dormers; corniced end stacks;
Tomintoul slate roofs.

Statement of Interest

Slates from Cnoc Fergan quarries close by.

Inverlochy one of four farms in parish where "considerable

improvements have been made within last 20 years. The

buildings are .........very substantial and commodious".
