Description

W C Joass, 1886. 1st pointed Gothic. Bullfaced rubble,
contrasting pale ashlar dressings. Rectangular, orientated
north/south. Gabled south front with (west) tall square
gabled tower with paired louvred lancets in upper stages
and terminating with steep pyramidal roof. Pointed headed
entrance in base with similar in (east) projecting wing. 3
lancets in ground floor of centre gabled bay with continuous
row of 5 similar openings in gallery. Paired lancets in 4-
bay buttressed flanks with projecting gabled transept at NE
and NW lit by larger window with Y-tracery. North gable lit
by large wheel window flanked by lancets; shaped vent in
apex. Contrasting banded light and dark slate roof; tiled
ridge.
