Description

Dated 1821. Facet headed stone sundial, mounted on fluted
baluster, pedestal with stylised Ionic scrolled capital.

Statement of Interest

Dated on base of shaft, with initials of William Cochra of

Ladyland and his wife, Catherine Hamilton. M & R point out

that the capital is like that of a obelisk dial and is

probably from an earlier dial.
