mullions and multi-pane glazing dominate the south elevation;

2 small pointed headed windows in east gable; entrance in centre

of west gable masked by modern glazed porch. Stumpy pinnacled

bellcote at west gable apex, cross at east; slate roof.

Interior; simple interior which appear to have been re-cast

in late 19th century; gallery fills west end; long communion

table;

Statement of Interest

Building in ecclesiastical use as such. Church originally

accommodated 700-800 persons; present lay-out has less

seating; communion table probably original but not pulpit.

East gable windows may be later insertions and together

with present internal arrangement be the work of Alexander

Ross, 1883. Present building replaced the church of 1751,

the ruins and burial ground of which are 200 yards to west.
