Description

Site of former 16th century parish church enclosed by simple stone and lime wall (1832). Various burial enclosures, including that of the Macleans with moulded and lugged doorpiece, dated 1793. 1861 monument to Flora Macdonald by D Davidson, Inverness, erected over her tomb.

2 late medieaval carved slabs, one with effigy of knight.

Statement of Interest

Two mediaeval tomb slabs only are Scheduled Monuments. Flora Macdonald monument erected on instructions of Capt. John Macleod, her great- grandson. Tomb formerly incorporated in enclosure of Macdonalds of Kingsborough.
