Dated 1863; late 18th/early 19th century core; 2-storey,
5-bay house with centre door masked by 2-storey drum tower
with conical roof and side entrance. All harled.
Slightly set back (later) outer bays with paired ground
floor windows; ground and 1st floor windows in centre of
drum tower; 4 1st floor windows rise through wallhead in
barge-boarded gablets; 12-pane glazing; end and ridge
corniced stacks; slate roof. Wing to rear.
Interior; much altered; Adamesque chimney piece in
ground floor drawing room.
Garden wall; coped dry stone garden wall; 4 bee boles
fitted in rear portion.
Drawing room chimney piece brought from Hampshire by present
owners of West Garty during 1970's. Said to be by one of the
Adam brothers, and to be signed at rear.
Small Grosvenor crest over front door; fitted during Grosvenor
ownership during mid 20th century. Parliamentary road of 1810
ran through grounds small bridge of that date close to house.
