Alexander Ross, 1875. Simple Gothic church orientated east-west
with gabled porch projecting at SW. Rubble with contrasting
tooled red sandstone dressings. Recessed round-headed doorway
in porch with double leaf doors with decorative cast-iron
hinges, flanked by paired and single lancets in buttressed
south elevation. 2-bay chancel with similar lancet windows and
vestry at north; triple stepped lancets in east and west
gables.
Simple bellcote at west apex above clock face; lead coated flat
skews; crosses at all gable apeces; West Highland slate roofs; decorative red tiled ridges.
Interior; simple interior with braced timber roof; chancel
framed by high pointed-headed arch; late 19th and 20th century
stained glass windows; simple pews; double piscina in SE wall.
Simple 3-panel screen fronts vestry, each pointed headed-panel
filled with hand painted flowers. Cusped panelling fronts choir
stalls and pulpit.
Burial Ground; simple rubble walled burial ground with roughly
shaped cope. Pair square tooled rubble gate piers with pyramidal
caps.
Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Memorial cross by
church porch a copy of the High Cross of oransay Priory.
Church built by Lady Ewing, wife of former Bishop of Argyll.
