Description

1812 and subsequent additions. Rambling 2-storey house,
all harled with tooled ashlar margins. Original 2-storey,
SE 3-bay front, with square porch with pointed headed
window and side entrance masking centre door; gabled
left (south) bay. Wide 2-bay SW front with 2 later
substantial canted bay windows in ground floor. Some
windows in rear wings rise through eaves into gablets;
mainly 12-pane glazing; ridge and end stacks; slate roofs.

Statement of Interest

Morvich built by Lord Stafford for "his occasional

residence" and subsequently led to his factor, Patrick

Sellers.
