Description

Circa 1840, single storey wide 3-bay gate lodge of slightly
irregular H-plan. Tooled ashlar frontage and return gables,
harl pointed rear; tooled ashlar dressings.
Centre entrance under shaped gablet with pottery MacPherson
arms in NE front with slightly advanced and gabled outer
bays each with tripartite. Single bay SE return gable and
2-bay at NW. 4-pane glazing; saw-tooth skews; end and ridge
coped stacks; slate roofs.
Gates and gate piers; later 19th century pair decorative
cast-iron carriage gates, matching pedestrian gate and
railings; 3 slender fluted cast-iron gate piers
with decorative finials.
