18th century. Single-span, depressed arch former roadbridge over Red Burn. Tooled and margined sandstone ashlar, collapsing in places revealing rubble core. Putlock holes at springing point of intrados. No parapet; remains of road substructure at approaches.
The bridge is situated almost immediately under the Castlecary railway viaduct, and is in a dilapidated condition (1994) having long ceased to function as a roadbridge.
