Dated 1676. Traditional 2-storey and garret main block with advanced wings and with rear stair tower. Harled, dressed face work, crowstepped gables. Slate roof. Wooden dormers. Cartouche (with initials I.D./E.D.) over central 1st floor window. 6 sundials on angles of wings. Interior has no special features.
Built for the Dundases of Philipstoun (or Philpstoun). Acquired by the Hopes in 18th century and added to the Hopetoun Estate.
