Pair adjoining traditional Dalriadic-type cottages, part of the originalcrofting township . North-facing, part of an L-plan lay-out at SE end of group. Built probably late 18th/early 19th centruy. Each cottage 3 bays with centre/near-centre door. Cottage nearest N has small modern porch, is shorter than the adjoining house and is set at a slightly lower level, though corrugated-iron roof replacing original thatch is continuous. Walls are whitewashed rubble; end and centre common stacks; boarded doors, 4-pane sashes. Also windows at rear.
Cottage nearest north may post-date its neighbour or may be partially rebuilt on older shell; near wall of the former cottage is vertical, while rear wall of the latter has a pronounced batter.
