Description

Circa 1930. Reinforced concrete weir. 2 sluice gates with operating machinery.

Statement of Interest

The weir is in the grounds of Bridge Cottage, owned by Mr M J Easson. Both cottage and weir were formerly part of the Old Mansion House Estate, the weir constructed to provide a water flow for the turbine house downstream. The turbine is dated 1931.
