Old house restored 1913-14 by Sir Robert Lorimer. 3-storey
tower with corbie-step-gables and corbelled angle turrets.
2-storey gabled additions with moulded architrave at rear
door. Harled. Slated roofs. Has been altered recently.
Belonged to Campbells of Inverawe. Major Campbell (who say
the famous ghost was killed at Ticonderoga 1758 his son
Alexander was wounded there 1762; his daughter sold
Inverawe to Campbells of Menzie, Perthsire. House fell into
decay. Acquired by James Currie 1912 and restored for him.
