Built for the Shands of Craigellie, Aberdeenshire.
Macpherson of Blairgowrie is said to have designed the
house in accordance with their wishes: the original
Craigellie is by John Smith of Aberdeen 1839. The 1913
design differs at the porch and in details of the
disposition of the plan from the original. The lodge also
reproduces the Aberdeenshire one in its external appearance.
