Description

Circa 1820's 3 bay, 2 storey, coursed rubble, gabled with straight skews and slated, rectangular corniced end stacks. Roman doric pilastered proch with cornice and blocking course, door with semi-circular fanlight over. Original glazing. Interior, largely unaltered although modern

fireplace in ground floor NW apartment. Simple enriched ceiling to stair-hall. Long single-storey slated office range to east.

Statement of Interest

A drawing in the Manse, showing proposed alterations to the house (plumbing) and offices (large additions) by Hugh Birrell of Drumeldrie, Nov 1864, seems to have been only partly executed.
