Architect probably Walter Newall, circa 1830. Detached tall rectangular-plan steading range at north end of courtyard.
Single storey with loft. rubble-built, with ashlar dressings; whitewashed; modern corrugated and gabled roof (presumably
piended originally, and slated). Elevation to courtyard:
3-bay stable at left, 2-bay cartshed, tall barn door at
right: barn with 2 tiers slit ventilators. Square-headed
openings mostly boarded, 2 with modern sliding doors. Mill
wheel formerly on north wall now removed. Cobbled courtyard.
Attribution to Newall on stylistic grounds. Farmhouse and
remainder of steading not included in listing.
