NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: asymmetrical elevation. Door to 1st bay leading to covered pend. 3 unevenly arranged windows to further bays, window to 2nd bay close to eaves.
NW ELEVATION: plain gable wall of original cottage, window to extension.
SE ELEVATION: attached to 6-7 Livingston Lane.
INTERIOR: modernised interior.
Modern door, plate glass timber sash and case windows with horns. Pitched roof, modern clay pantiles, raised coped skew, coped gable apex stack to NW, small circular can.
NOTES: Although altered greatly the cottage is one of a small number of surviving 18th century single storey cottages in Aberdour. In the 1950s a couple of buildings including a dairy to the immediate NW of the cottage were demolished to create a car park leaving a large open space in the lane. A line of buildings originally ran continuously along the lane from the High Street to where the lane turns sharply to the SW. The lane takes it name from John Livingston who ran the local dairy in the mid 19th century.
