Two main builds; ?late 18th century 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse;
adjoining flanking L-plan steading blocks, that to N with
arcaded cartshed (remainder of steading excluded from
listing): house deepened in plan and heightened circa 1800.
All whitewashed rubble with ashlar dressings; house with
contrasting painted margins: roofs all covered with graded
slates.
HOUSE: (E) elevation to courtyard and flanking ranges all
uniform height and build: house raised and deepened to W with
taller storeys and base course, mid 19th century central
porch and sash windows with 4-pane glazing: straight skews;
end stacks; uniform roof-pitch. 19th century alterations to
courtyard.
FLANKING BLOCKS: N block with range adjoining house now
largely domestic; main roof swept over shelter in re-entrant
angle: cartshed with 4 arcaded segmental arches, loft
openings above; S range is plainer.
Remainder of steading too altered to merit listing.
