Dated 1556 on voussoirs of doorway. L-plan, 3-storey
with tall slim S.E. tower 5-storey; unusual plan with
circular stair tower linking the two, prison cell in
thickness of staircase wall. Roughly built of pinned boulder
rubble; dressings part granite, part sandstone; angles
rounded, corbelled to square near wallhead; corbels for
brattice at 2nd floor level on E. Interior altered and roof
ruinous (1965).
