Earlier 19th century south front added to late 18th/early
19th century stables. 4 ranges forming courtyard (now
roofed over) entered at east end of north front. South
range: 2 storey, 8 bay; whin rubble with droved freestone
dressings. Loft door in gabled projection off-centre to
west, end bays, slightly advanced. Piended slated roof.
North and west ranges: 2-storey rubble with droved
dressings, piended pantiled roof with slated easing course; segmental-arched cart-sheds in west range.
East range similar, single storey with large rectangular
dovecot at centre rising above ridge. Flight holes under
eaves to south and in south side of timber lantern at apex
of piended pantiled roof: stone nesting boxes survive.
Now partly used by Wester Grangemuir Farm.
Later 19th century building attached to the SW corner is not
included in the list.
Graded category B for the interest of the Dovecot.
