Description

Probably circa 1810, much altered 1896 (Gillespie of St
Andrews) and 1908 (Rowand Anderson and Paul). Two-storey and
attic. Original house (east section) 3-window, coursed rubble
with raised and polished quoins at east end. Pedimented
ashlar porch with window to front c.1820 and later bipartite
bay to right, late bipartite dormer over left hand bay. Later
western extension, droved ashlar with raised end quoins. Two
narrow ground floor windows and later bipartite over with
piended and finialled dormer-head. Slated roof skews and 3
corniced ashlar stacks. Rear elevation: 2 large windows at
ground floor, 3 at first, single storey piended rubble block
(now garage) at right angles to right. Attic light only at
east gable. Door, ground floor slit, first floor and attic
windows in west gable. Reglazed at front except for porch
window, rear glazing largely original. Two octagonal ashlar
gatepiers with caps at entrance.
