Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse; coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Central pilastered doorcase to west elevation; 2 1st floor windows with gabled dormer heads. End stacks and slate roof. Steading is part early, part mid 19th century. Irregular, roughly U-shaped in plan with narrow courtyard 2 bays broad. 1 and 2 storeys, with lofts. All rubble-built, with droved ashlar dressings. Large deep single storey block to south has 4 large square-headed openings to courtyard; north block in 2 sections: east section; 2 storeys, 2-bays: single storey west

section has door, window, and 3 arcaded segmental-headed carriage openings to courtyard. Piended and gabled, slated and pantile roofs of varying pitch. East elevation: conical-roofed circular horsemill flanked by broad, piend-roofed blocks, that to left single storey, that to

right 2 storeys.
