Picturesque pair of early 19th century(?) vernacular builings
set at right angles beside Pitcairlie Burn. Mill building to
east: single storey, droved quoins, rubble walls, skew gables
with ridge stones, pantiles. Modern opening to yard with
brick and concrete, small door to rear with arched head.
Right gable end with pit for mill-wheel and traces of
mill-race, holes for drive machinery are visible inside.
Cottage at right-angles is also one storey, chimney with
cornice to left end, loft door with swept roof rises into
main roof. Plain door with single windows flanking. Extension
to left end.
To east off the Auchtermuchty to Newburgh Road.
