Description

Probably William Robertson, 1835-40, with later
additions. S facing, 2-storey, 3-bay house. Rubble,
tooled and polished ashlar dressings. Slightly advanced
and pedimented centre bay with centre entrance; flanking
(?) later projecting canted ground floor windows;
12-pane glazing. Coped end stacks; slate roof.
Modern (1965) single storey, flat roofed sun parlour
projects from W gable.

Statement of Interest

Fisherton Farmhouse, Aberlour, William Robertson, 1839,

has similar front elevation (without canted bay

windows).

House constructed on earlier site; there is a memorial

to the Innes' of Inchstelly set in the gable end wall of

old Alves Parish Church.
