Late 19th century. Simple square tooled rubble walled burial
ground with tooled ashlar cope and rusticated quoins.
Polished ashlar gate piers in centre of S wall and polished
ashlar pedimented memorial in centre of N wall.
MURAL MEMORIAL: pilastered and pedimented memorial rising
above burial ground wall which abuts each side. Brodie coat
of arms in centre and 3 memorial plaques below.
GATEPIERS AND GATES: pair square rusticated ashlar gates with
simple stepped caps; pair cast and wrought-iron gates.
Simple bronze plaques set at regular intervals on inside wall
faces mark burial places of various members of Brodie family.
Central mural plaque bears coat of arms and initials WB and
EB for William Brodie (d.1873) and Elizbeth Baillie his wife
(d.1914), and tablets to their son Hugh (d.1889) and 2 of
Hugh's sons, Alistair (d.1899) and Douglas (d.1916).
