Description

Late 18th century. Single span bridge, some re-construction
in later 19th century; roughly dressed ashlar segmental arch
ring springing from tooled rubble abutments. Some rebuilding
(later 19th century) with sharp curve at E bank.
Approximate span; 36'.

Statement of Interest

Appears to have been hump-back bridge, reconstructed to

obviate hump with levelled approaches and re-aligned to take

in sharp curve of road line. Some unsympathetic modern repair

work to masonry. Also listed in Cromdale, Inverallan and

Advie Parish, Badenoch & Strathspey District, Highland Region.
